Three friends were walking along a sidewalk in Crystal City on Monday night, May 23, when two men approached them from behind, pulled a gun, and demanded money, Arlington County Police said in an incident report.
The suspects stole their cash, some items of clothing, and electronics. But to add injury to insult, one of the robbers pistol whipped one of their victims before running off, the report said. The person's injuries were considered serious but not life threatening.
Arlington police are investigating the incident.
